***PLEASE SEE YOUR CHILD'S AGENDA FOR ALL HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS. I INITIAL THEM EACH DAY BEFORE THE STUDENTS LEAVE TO MAKE SURE THEY HAVE THEIR ASSIGNMENTS. PLEASE ALSO INITIAL THEIR AGENDAS WHEN YOUR CHILD HAS COMPLETED THEIR HOMEWORK.
MATH Homework Reminders:
Homework is given nightly and each student is held accountable for
completing his/her homework. Your child should complete 3-4 problems each
night, on the sheet provided each week. Homework is due EVERY FRIDAY.
Completion of homework is important because it counts as a participation
grade. Students are held accountable for showing all their work/thinking
when their HW is completed. EACH week's HW sheet will count 4 pts. towards
their total grade of 25 pts. for each 6 weeks. If a student DOES NOT SHOW
ALL THEIR WORK, or if it is only 1/2 complete, the assignment will only
receive 2 points. If the assignment is not turned in at all, 0 points are
given. Any points that are deducted from the homework assignments will be
subtracted from the 25 pts classwork grade.
**Please encourage your child to SHOW ALL THEIR WORK when completing ANY
math assignment; this allows me to see and understand how they derived
their answer(s) and if they are understanding the concept(s) taught.
Home Reading Logs:
**STUDENTS CONTINUE TO READ FOR 30 MINUTES
Students MUST read 4 nights a week (Monday – Thursday) for 30 minutes each
night. Please write in the agenda: the title of the book and your signature
that your child read.
